Born in Rome in a family of Italian diplomats, Paola Leopizzi Harris studied English and French at Rhode Island College and earned a second Bachelor’s degree in science at the University of Colorado. Her Master’s degree in education from Leslie College in Boston led her to serve as the Principal for the American Overseas School of Rome. She taught ancient history, photo journalism and English there until she returned to the US in 2007 to pursue her interest in investigative reporting.
As a widely-published writer with a strong audience in Europe, Paola began studying unidentified aerial phenomena and was soon on personal terms with leading researchers of the field, notably as an associate of Dr. J. Allen Hynek in his investigations. She has published her interviews of numerous military witnesses in her widely translated books. In particular, she recorded the experiences of Colonel Philip Corso, whom she brought to Rome, and she wrote the preface to his book (The Day after Roswell) for the Italian public, as well as the preface to Apollo 14 astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell’s book The Way of the Explorer.
Paola Harris has lectured extensively in the US and Europe about the importance of making ufology a serious Academic study, promoting international dialogue and open discussion of research data. Her current research focuses on events in Latin America and on related consciousness studies. She lives between Rome and Boulder, Colorado and has two children.
